The core of leadership is care.

It is care that will make you accept the sacrifices that are required to mobilize people.

It is care that will make you pay the attention needed to lead.

It is care that will fuel you with energy that is required to do the hard work of leadership.

And it is nothing but care will keep you in the game when the same people whom you are trying to help through you acts of leadership resist and fight you - just because they don't see the potential brightness of their future the way you do.

Do you really care about those whom you wish to lead? Do you really care about the cause that you are trying to serve? The answer to such questions will determine the fate of your leadership journey.

It is okay if one did not know about a certain reality that deserved attention.

It is okay if one did not know about a situation that needed to be left
untouched or that required an intervention to be rescued or improved.

But it is NOT okay if one knew and was aware of such realities and still
did nothing when attention or intervention were needed for a good purpose.

What reality are you aware that it needs your attention or intervention and yet
you are doing nothing about it? why so?
